MANLY MAN CARE PACKAGE

Our deployment is winding down; we only have a few months left! HOORAY! Seriously I cannot wait until the Hubster is finally home again! This deployment has luckily gone by so fast! I am so grateful for that! So even though it’s almost over I’m still sending care packages! This month I thought I should send him a Manly Man care package. So while not everything is exactly manly per se I thought it was fun to give it a theme right?

Here’s what I sent

A HUGE Beef Stick (the Hubster LOVES these)

Pepperoni Beef Sticks (see more Meat, totally manly)

Razor Blades (Hubster decided to shave his head so he needs more razors)

Shave Balm (ok so I know that doesn’t sound very manly but he SHAVED his head! He needs some extra moisturizing up there)

Crackers (well he loves them soo…)

An ACU iPad mini case (best part is he totally just complained that he needed a new case it’s like I’m psychic)

Cigars (ok if that isn’t Manly then I don’t know what is? Yes I know women can smoke them too)

Beer Nuts (He doesn’t get to have beer which is nuts? I don’t know?)

New Cracker Jacked (I like to send him things that have come out since he’s been gone)

Muscle Cream (He’s working hard over there and I know he’s got some aching muscles!)

Hope he likes it! J

ENJOY!

Easter Care Package

Do you do Easter baskets for the grown-ups in your house? We do and when the Hubster is deployed I try to send a little Easter to him. I also still get myself a little something for my Easter basket too. I think it’s important for Kiddo’s to see that everything isn’t all about them.

I like the Easter Care Package to look like an Easter Basket when he opens it. Now I know he is a Big Strong Army Man but really he’s a little boy at heart. So I included everything that should be in an Easter Basket, the fake grass, Candy, and Plastic Eggs and of course the piece de resistance a Chocolate Easter Bunny. We always include a few little gifts in our baskets as well! Those are hidden just in case the Hubster happens to check out the blog before he gets his box!

ENJOY!

Care Packages

Over the next nine months I’m going to post about the Care packages that I send to the Hubster and his Soldiers. With email and facebook and Skype we sometimes forget how important real physical mail can be!  But I know how much the Hubster looks forward to getting something he can hold in his hands that connects him back to home. So I’m doing my best to write real letters and mail him packages.

This month’s care package is for Valentine’s Day. The Hubster hasn’t been gone that long but I wanted to send him something to let him know we love him and are thinking of him.

So I wrote him a little love note, and filled the box with some of his favorite treats. A couple of books because he's read one already and found these awsome tool chocolates, he's an engineer after all so what could be more appropriate? These care packages don’t have to cost a lot or be stuffed full they just need to let the recipient know you well, care!

Enjoy!
