Cheese Dreams

A couple of weeks ago I told you about my favorite breakfast, which is Biscuits and Gravy, but probably my second favorite breakfast is French toast. Man Child however really doesn’t like French Toast? Weird right? But he does like Cheese Dreams, thanks to my Mom. We would often have these as kids and then when we’ve gone to visit with Man-Child she has made them for him several times, well really I think every time. Now I realize that you might be asking yourself what are Cheese Dreams. Well they are pure awesomeness! Basically it’s what would happen if French Toast and grilled Cheese Sandwiches had a baby. Its two slices of French Toast with Cheese melted in the middle! YUM right?

Here’s what you’ll need:

4 Slices Bread

2-3 Eggs, stirred

A few slices Cheddar Cheese

Here’s how you make it:

Heat a large skillet over medium heat, spray with a cooking spray. Crack the eggs into a shallow dish or plate and stir. Dip the Bread into the Egg mixture coating both sides. Place the Bread into the skillet and let cook for a few minutes on one side until it’s a light golden brown. Then turn the bread over and place the sliced Cheese onto the side that has already cooked. Top it with a second slice of bread making sure it’s the side that is already golden brown. Flip the bread to make sure it’s Golden brown on both sides. Remove and place onto a plate. Now you can serve it with Butter like I did or some people use syrup and some like powdered sugar. I like to keep it simple with just a little pat of butter.

ENJOY!
